During the flight with @AirCanada of course we get the announcement is there a doctor on board.
High fever, sore throat, pulse scaring l’y high, BP ok, very lethargic. No past medical history and no other symptoms than flu-like symptoms x48h. 1/ Yet, still boarded a plane, and, most importantly, maskless.
I said: ‘the fact that the only physician on board (and his family) is masked on this flight, with a patient here moderately ill with most likely covid, should all tell you something’ 2/

Delta is concerning but vaccinations are protective, so less likely to end up in hospital / ICU or morgue.
Lambda, on the other hand, has been shown to evade vaccines entirely.
It was a huge mistake (as I predicted) to rely on a vaccine. 1/ Why? Because coronaviruses are notorious in their ability to mutate, and mutate quickly. It is the same family as the common cold. Recall catching a cold more than once in a year, sometimes back to back? Mutations allow it to circumvent your immune system by mutating. 2/
