Here are the empirical results of how the top 30 trending DexScreener coins fared between 7/10 and 7/11. Snapshots taken at approximately 00:30 GMT.
Below I'll add commentary and charts with conclusions that are easier to digest. This is simply the raw data I compiled:
The simple average unweighted return across all 30 trending coins was -18%.
If you had distributed $1,000 evenly across all coins, you would be left with $821.34.
Simple conclusion: If you believe that returns are randomly distributed, or at least that your ability to choose winners is no better than random chance, then you might conclude that you are set up to take a moderate loss by buying and holding for 24 hours.

Two ideas that I believe would be v positive for the @MyCurioCards community.
Both make good (common) sense to me, and therefore, I believe Curio holders will mobilize to attempt them.

Somebody maintains the holder list from OpenSea. The 5k wallets w/ Curio
a) Community members lobby upcoming projects to get certain # of spots allocated to curio holders
b) Project gets 3rd party vetted
c) WL slots get allocated to random Curio holders
