Hypothesis.

Who are they?

It's not only people who self-identify as white supremacists.

It's not only people against restrictions on guns.

It's not only social conservatives.

Whatever they consciously believe and articulate, they are all motivated by a loss of identity. They are unified in their insecurity.

They rightly see their dominance as the hegemonic voice in America slipping away.

They express this through passion for various issues. Immigration, conservative social values, crime, and a myriad of others.

The issues don't matter.

Some things we've learned about our constitution this week, based on the arguments that have been made by Pence and McConnell.

When a president abandons his or her oath, and attempts to overthrow the government, or does any other such thing we can't imagine right now... He or she cannot be removed via the 25th amendment as that only applies in cases of medical incapacitation.

He or she can be removed through impeachment, but not for - at minimum - 20 days.

Note that you don't have to think Trump was guilty of these things.

So tired of hearing people trying to argue that riots and insurrection are equivalent.

Those arguing that people getting yelled at in restaurants is equivalent to insurrection can just fuck off. Also someone needs to let the traitor caucus know that the nation is largely unified now.

Can't please everyone, but pretty much all of the rest of us are on the same page.

Many Zimbabweans won't have the ability to watch Nelson Chamisa's address to Zimbabweans today.

I have transcribed a small part of it that I will share in this thread.

Here is a link to video of the full speech for those with the bandwidth:

facebook.com/AdvNelsonChami… "I can only say, I call upon you not to allow fear-mongers, terrorists to stop you from speaking out and demanding accountability."

-Nelson Chamisa, 24 August, 2020

I have noticed that many, suffering and fed up with Zanu, still say things like "the AU and SADC must come and free us." "The MDC must lead us." "When will the world notice our plight?"

These words are poisonous!

You might as well repeat the refrain that all Zimbabweans are cowards.

Does the CIO pay you to say these things?

Then why are you doing their work for them?

Stop convincing yourselves that you are cowards. Stop convincing yourselves that someone else must save you.

How to know if the demos have been cancelled or postponed:

Apologies, this is quick and dirty, but it gets the job done.

There's a lot (A LOT) of fake information being actively spread on social media.

#FreeZimbabweCampaign For confirmation that the demos have been cancelled or postponed, visit (don't trust without actually going to the page and looking) either @mdczimbabwe on Twitter or Facebook:

Those planning to participate in the #FreeZimbabwe demonstrations, and those supporting them:

Be cautious of those speaking like they are with you, but advocating violence.

The forces against you are hard at work, trying to frame this demonstration as something it is not. Even those that have allied with you for a long time: they may be a victim of propaganda, or they may be compromised, or worse they were never really with you.

There is no violence called for in these demos, for any reason.

When you are denied the opportunity to freely elect your government-
What is to be done?

When your government fails to meet even the most basic of needs-
What is to be done?

When your government is willing to brutalize its people, kill to remain in power-
What is to be done? Fearing the brutality, some say, "Let's wait"
"When they run out of money, it'll get better."

This has been said for 39 years.

Fearing the brutality, some say, "Let's wait"
"When this generation passes, it'll get better."

The next generation is buying Lamborghini's.
