Today: Part I - Course review.
Stage 1 - reduced GC sprint (Pog)
UAE will thin out the peloton on Colle Madallena to launch Pog on San Vito.
Stage 2 - Oropapa - GC day (Pog)
Santuario de Oropa. The perfect day for Pog to set the GC in stone and let the sprinter teams do their job the rest of the week.

#TDF2023 Preview alert (II) - the teams
Here it is. My (im)famous team analysis with some fantasy team tips!
Jumbo-Visma
GC: Vingegaard
Sprint: van Aert
Break: None
Jonas for GC and Wout for multiple stages. Jonas the no. 1 favourite with this mountainous tour. Wout with lots of chances. He will compete the mass sprints as well in my belief.
In this thread I'll take a look at the Giro course. Later this week I'll post my teams preview + fantasy team tips and classifications. Short and simple, in my own style. First some general observations:
- Giro for sprinters. If you can climb this Giro offers you 10+ chances. Looking at you Mads, Bling, Albanese.
- Add up the 3 time trials and the GC days and there's not much room for break away artists.
- However, stage 4 offers a beautiful chance to take Giro glory and pink.
