This is Auchensoul hill. It stands above the village where I live. It is a case study in the confusion and failure that is dogging Scottish Land Policy and which was highlighted today by the Scottish land Commission. 1/14 Image Until recently Auchensoul fell was owned by one of the big local land owning families. The family in question were the Fergusons of Kilkerran. They actually owned the land way back in the medieval era. 2/14
