So Métis Nation “of” Ontario is voting AGAIN today whether to remove the obvious non-metis today. They had a referendum last year. And are having an assembly today, which is not livestreamed, but behind closed doors, to kick them out. 1/ globalnews.ca/news/9522820/m… And how can Canada even think about signing ANYTHING with MNO? They still don’t know who is on their membership. And the @ChiefsofOntario are right. These other newly created, in 2017, communities are not historic Métis Nation. The ancestors being used are not Métis. 2/

On June 19th, the Métis Nation honours the Métis buffalo hunters who were not only asserting their econ rts 2 free trade but also declared ourselves a New Nation 4 the first time. Cuthbert Grant & his men were riding by a fur trade fort when the Governor demanded they stop.1/ The Métis fighters were very experienced as they spent years on the plains. The battle was over very quickly but the colonial powers called it a massacre and pressed charges. At the end of the day, no one on the Métis Nation side was charged or found guilty. 2/
