If you actually talk to homeless people - and manage to break through the jarring visuals of encampments - you will find communities. In these homeless communities, nearly two people died everyday last year.

Yesterday I asked @SanDiegoCounty officials what their modeling told us about when SD will hit its peak number of #coronavirus cases. Today they provided an update and personally all I can tell you is that the information is causing me some anxiety... The modeling says this: We may not hit our peak number of cases for at least 6 more weeks (which is good in a way, minus the lockdown) but when we hit that peak, it's possible we still won't have enough hospital beds and other equipment to treat all the hospitalized patients
