people have been posting a lot about this article for the obvious reasons, but it's also deeply worrying for a specific reason: suicides like these are one of the core reasons the Nazis switched from guns to gas chambers
I have no sympathy or pity for anyone who makes a monster of themselves and then cries about it; that a mainstream news article tried to cast this behavior in a sympathetic light is so disgusting and so utterly disrespectful of human dignity that I can hardly put it into words

a good friend of mine is a professor of chronobiology and she will happily tell you that this is the absolute irrefutable truth, and she's correct
there are basically two core chronotypes, they are effectively biologically immutable, and the "early bird" types control the flow and function of society with such totality that it's considered entirely normal to wake everyone up at hours that only work for them
