First off, through a private company called Geedge Networks, China has essentially commercialized the Firewall and Surveillance technology. They are exporting it to other authoritarian governments in Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Myanmar and another unknown country. 2/8

Just seeing this post and going to push back. A guy who vibe coded an airplane game isn't someone you should take security advice from. While the sentiment about big VPNs using fear to sell their product is true (not us though), it doesn't mean VPNs are completely useless. (1/8)
The claim that all you need is HTTPS and custom DNS to be private online is laughable. If your traffic isn't being proxied, your ISP knows everything you're doing, regardless of who resolves your domains. Good VPNs do all of that - encrypt, reroute DNS, and proxy traffic. (2/8)
