(1) One of my sons, who grew up in Wisbech, is visiting from USA. His verdict on the state of Norfolk Street is unprintable. Where do the gangs of idle and unkempt men lurking in the road all come from? They don’t appear to work, so where does their money come from? (2) I am guessing these men are Slovak, Roma, or perhaps Bulgarian. I know of many decent hardworking Bulgarians in the town, and they must be appalled at these scroungers. I feel really sorry for the few ‘proper’ shops in the street.
