Book lovers, a debut author asked me to explain last night why pre-orders are so important and it struck me that authors *gently encourage folks to do this but maybe it's not always clear why so here is a little thread on why they matter so much so here is a little thread.. 1. It seems pre-orders show the author's publisher that there is interest in the book and this can encourage the publisher to invest more in promoting it to help it find more readers!
