IMO, Nairobi-Mau Summit highway will take at least 5 years to complete. I estimate the earliest competion date at 2030 unless the following are adressed:

1. Detailed Engineering design for the entire corridor including drainage, slope protection , tunnels, and any bridges. 2. Comprehensive land valuation and processing of titles all along the road reserve where land acquisition is confirmed subject to the proposed design. Proposed design has to be optimized to reduce these acquisition costs hence will take time on the iteration.

Implementing this policy will most definitely raise KRA collections from the current 2.4 trillion to at least 3 trillion in before 2028.

Many ‘ informal ‘ businesses will be formalized. Image Imagine if you supply Maize to some local school. You harvest from your shamba or buy from local guys then deliver and get paid 300k, now the school will ask for an etims receipt to file taxes.

This means KRA automatically knows you got paid 300k so you must declare etims expenses or pay tax on the 300k because it will all be treated as profit.

Tax consultants are about to eat good. This directive will affect all street smart fellas. Buckle up the payslip has reached elastic limit. The informal sector is on the stand.

Whereas Kenyans are coignizant with the need to bring on board more power owing to increasing demand, we urge the government to carry out the process of awarding new PPAs in a transparent manner. Parliament placed a moratorium to PPAs in 2018. They need to share a report on what REFORMS the government has been working on to ensure kenyans get value for money and the janja janja by Okemo and crew where skewed PPAs were awarded is not repeated

You need to be fair with how you calculate these taxes. Someone should not be punished for buying a car. How is a car whose CIF is Ksh 2m attract a tax of Ksh 4m?

We understand we need to collect income but twice the price is not it @KRACare Image Car tax system has to change. At least if the CIF is 2m maybe have 2m as tax ( For 7 year old cars)

Newer cars should have less tax along with hybrids and electric vehicles in my view.

When I was earning 70k my savings were 40k a month. I figured early enough that the more I get older the more the responsibilities so I front loaded my savings

Now I can save the 14k mentioned here but the 40 I saved for at least 2 years gave me a good head start. Always save. Remember as you grow older you’ll probably be involved in fund raisers, kids will come along , and many other issues that need money. You should maximize saving when you have little expenses the money comes in handy in future

I have been doing a lot of soul searching , trying to understand what the issue with Kenya is. After a 5 year thought process , I have a conclusion that Kenya’s problem is not the government, but the people. Well, the government is of the people , for the people and by the people. When one says the government is the issue, you’re essentially saying that you are part of the problem.

My first submission is our mindset. I think most of us have a barbaric mindset.

I have realized after a long time observing how majority of Kenyans think and operate and I think the best way to operate in Kenya is by being a benovelent villain. Con people and make it look like you were just trying to earn a living then ' reform ' afterwards. Works 100% Just con with impunity then reform and ' give back to society' if you can blame Satan and a few external factors then denounce him after you are rich and say god did, even better for you. Get into remand a few weeks and come out ' stronger'

This is the perfect business plan.

Let me give my insights on my current thinking of Thuggenomics, from the OG CBK governor. What is his plan on stimulating the economy? Some of this is being alongside Treasury. So let us get into my insights ( What I think, might not be accurate but still its what I think ). 1. When Ksh. slipped to 160 against the dollar, the first step was to stabilize the Ksh. Volatility was too high because and lots of high net worth individuals converted ksh to USD and there was lots of capital flight from kenya. The culprit? A $2B Eurobond that was due.

Fuel ( AGO, PMS, HFO, jet fuel etc) cost this country Ksh 500B annually , and which is denominated in foreign currency with vegetable oil at a distant second. This is a huge risk because it forces Kenya to hoard foreign currency to ensure we meet this demand. Fuel being a main component that spurs production, affects all sectors of the economy. When Ksh get weaker we pay a lot for fuel hence leads to inflation almost immediately, or government is forced to give huge subsidies that are unsustainable in a tight fiscal space.

So I ordered both of these today to see what the fuss was about and I have this short review:

1. The order process was easy. I ordered and paid on Thursday for both orders and agreed the food will be sent by a rider at 1245 hrs

2. I got a call at 12 to confirm my location 3. Chicken Mandi ( That yellow rice and Chicken in frame 1 )- The chicken was well cooked and the rice was very much separated and apart from each other ( Geoo can help me with English here)

The chilli was very good ie not too hot and not too mild for my liking. 9/10

Have you ever wondered why no Engineers get jailed for these collapsed buildings? I'll explain

1. Buildings have 2 main phases :Design and supervision. Engineers design, do calculations and submit these +drawings. Client pays and engineers stamps drawings for construction 2. In the supervision phase, since the client already has drawings, he refuses to engage the engineers further and chooses to use Fundis who have done many of these buildings. These guys don't follow an QA QC procedures they only aim to cut cost.
