Politics aside, we should be concerned that we’re on the verge of a Chinese takeover of the construction industry. I understand that even windows & doors, which could be made here have been imported from there for major projects.
This may be one reason (lemme repeat), one reason there is a disconnect between prosperity by indicators & prosperity that the average person is/is not feeling.
Construction is a critical sector - especially for countries on a growth path.
