In this thread, I shall talk about three fallacies of the US media's approach to NK issues.
1. "Maximum sanctions": The assumption that sanctions can somehow "force" NK to denuke is fundamentally wrong. It is a naive, wishful thinking, one-sided fantasy of a poor quality. 1/8
Trump and Kim already agreed in Singapore that NK's denuke can only happen "voluntarily" when mutual confidence is built and peace is in place. Sanctions can only hamper the mutual confidence building and prolong hostile US-NK relationship, thus postponing everything. 2/8
