Dealing with mental illness is hard enough in and of itself without feeling like we have to be constantly improving and working towards salvation. More than anything, I take comfort in the Resurrection. I take comfort in knowing my journey towards perfection does not end with this life.

The Protestant work ethic is prevalent, particularly in American society. An article from the Pacific Standard discusses a Dutch study on its existence.
