In my day we used to wheat paste our message to the windows so people could read it in our absence while these luxury businesses tried to figure out how to remove them. We didn’t just splatter paint on some windows and then wait around for the cops to come arrest us.
After finding out this org is funded by billionaire oil heirs, it all feels like a game where these old grimey elites send off young people to get arrested so they can soothe their egos and pretend they’re making activism with their blood money.

This is the kind of climate protest that we see too often where something is done to shock people and bring attention to a cause. The problem is that everyone in the world is already aware of the climate crisis, legislators just don’t give a shit.
If extinction rebellion and other climate activist orgs like then wanted to do something effective that didn’t make them look like total idiots, they could go after something politicians care about, such as their homes not being on fire.
