@calmdevata@dominic_w It has to have a net inflation as it grows for the initial hodlers to not have increasingly concentrated gov power to abuse future users & app devs as they become dependent on cycles. There will be some parameter like increasing the burn rate that will be the thumb screw.
@calmdevata@dominic_w We know the VCs have to be paid & don't disagree, but to be "open" & 'The Internet Computer" we need a mechanism for app devs or users to limit how much value VCs will eventually extract. It's a typical company w/ stock governance (ICP) that risks being merely competitive.

Distributed consensus trilemma:
(B*N+PL)*V<BW
B = bytes/round to prove consistency on largest partition.
N=# of equal-weight voting nodes
B*N=only way to be fully decentral?
PL=payload (tx bytes/round)
V=velocity, rounds/sec
BW = bytes/sec of each node

N = level of decentralization
V = level scalability
B = level of security

1) #Numenta A.I. work is finally getting close to realizing what I told them about 7 years ago is true and profound. Their new paper is here: frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…2) My postulate is that the 6 layers in the cortex are necessary to see 4D space-time because 6-degrees of freedom (see wiki) are well-known in the engineering world to be necessary to model the movement of 3D objects in 3D space. You need 6 equations & 6 unknowns to solve.
