If Twitter goes down I want to acknowledge and thank all of the remarkable mental health pros and advocates I have learned so much from. During my therapy journey I've gotten so much from different therapy modalities. My first therapist was a psychoanalytic therapist - but it was her heart that kept me alive during my darkest times. EMDR taught me how to be with pain and move through it. 1/4

Ideas from family systems and psychodynamic theory helped me understand how growing up in a dysfunctional home affected my relationships- and helped me to be different. Participating in recovery groups online and off gave me inspiration and community to show these ideas work. 2/4
