Según datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Población Privada de la Libertad (ENPOL), 3 de 10 mujeres detenidas por la policía municipal en el país son desvestidas al momento de la detención, mientras que 10% dice haber sido violada.
Algo importante: el porcentaje se duplica y cuatruplica en caso de detención por el Ejército y la Marina, respectivamente.

De hecho, varias de las detenciones de mujeres sucedieron en redadas luego de terminada la manifestación, ya sea en paradas de autobús o incluso cuando ellas iban ya en sus coches.

Evelyn was acquitted last month after spending nearly 3 yrs behind bars. During her retrial, prosecutors denied that she was raped and tried to increase her prison sentence by 10 years. That's 40 years for a stillbirth.

Now they're going after her again.

This February, after serving 33 months of her 30 year prison sentence, Evelyn, a Salvadoran women who was unjustly imprisoned for suffering an obstetric emergency, was freed.

But today, she's on trial again as prosecutors try to put her back behind bars.

UPDATE: Prosecutors have denied that Evelyn is a rape survivor, accused her of causing her stillbirth AND asked the court to sentence her to 40 years in prison for a crime she did not commit.
