The Italian Foreign Ministry published an APP for safe travels #ViaggiareSicuri #Dovesiamonelmondo.
A very good idea, carried out with some data protection concerns.
The app has 3 trackers, 32 permissions.
It is a lot of data sharing and the privacy has errors and lack info.
websites related to this services has more #dataprotection issues:
viaggiaresicuri.it
- NO SAFETY HEADERS
- NO HTTPS
- Google Analitics cookies
- 135 requests (36 insecure), many of them can be easily avoided.
- The server itself is located in USA
- privacy notice is lying
dovesiamonelmondo.it
NO SAFETY HEADERS
10 requests to 6 unique hosts.
Less than viaggiaresicuri, but a lot worst!
Even the mail Ministry website has many data protection issues:
so many data sharing with no consent at all...
addthis
twitter
doubleclick
The #APP privacy notes lack of mandatory information.
The provided informations has some issues: the legal basis for processing is art. 6.1.e but the consent is required! Data and consent are supposed to be mandatory... No, please! #GDPR
dovesiamonelmondo.it/privacypolicy.…
So many GDPR issues in Italian Foreign Ministry websites and APP.
The Privacy notes are misleading (i would say wrong at all)
@ItalyMFA #DPO, privacypro mate, please, with all due respect, have a coffe and check this out

@Agenzia_Ansa published this: ansa.it/sito/notizie/p…
I'm scared: purpose is good but there is no knowledge of data sharings: the Minister says that data are cancelled asap, but what about doubleclick, twitter, google, addthis? they will keep users personal data. no opt-out ! !
