I don't understand:
1. The problem in Kashmir was proxy warfare by Pakistan. Left to themselves, a majority of valley resident would have opted to remain with India. How does making J&K as UT resolve the issue?

2. As a bonafide HP resident, I would be outraged if outsiders were allowed to buy land in the state on the pretext of accelerating economic development. Why should a valley resident not be similarly outraged?

3. How does treating the constitutions like toilet paper using legal gymnastic solve the Kashmir problem? As a citizen without clout or money, can I now honestly claim that citizen rights are protected through our laws and constitution?

4. A state's rights have been trampled upon making a mockery of our federal structure yet no other state has protested. Why should a Kashmiri not feel that the whole nation is ganging up against them?

5. Kashmir, including POK, is an integral part of India. Rather than trampling on Kashmiri rights, our federal structure and most of all our constitution, why did the government not order and win a referendum, just as Putin did with Crimea?
