Well it appears Andrew McCabe's defense attorneys have failed to convince US Attorney Jessie Liu to not indict their client. So they have gone over her head to the new Deputy AG Rosen in an attempt to persuade him!

Had they been successful in convincing DAG Rosen to not indict McCabe, I doubt we would see NYTs printing this story.
Or are they setting us up to create another imaginary bad guy at DOJ? If there are no charges, the Swamp protector allegation will be used again...
Of course, NYTs is setting up the narrative that if McCabe is charged it will be political by prosecutors trying to please Trump. Probably a major reason why CNN hired McCabe to set the narrative that McCabe is being persecuted not prosecuted.
Now this is interesting, a DOJ prosecutor allegedly quit the case over how it was being managed. Were they Swampy trying & failing to protect McCabe?
And who is the 'key witness' that might hurt the prosecution case? Did someone lie to the grand jury to protect McCabe?
We often see these kind of stories a day or two before DOJ indicts someone from the Swamp, so I am hoping this is very good news! They are just trying to get their spin applied before anyone reads the indictment!
It is not a coincidence that the DOJ OIG interviewed McCabe & recorded it on audio in the days before the White House was debugged & McCabe lost authority as Acting Director of the FBI!
The tapes will be damning as described in the OIG report.

Looks like Lisa Page is the "key witness" described above. Her 'damaging testimony' is that McCabe had no reason to lie as he was authorized to make leaks as Deputy Director. But he was not leaking to help the FBI per OIG reporting.
Yep, their only defense is the perception that McCabe was accused & fired for partisan reasons. Good thing everyone thinks the FBI & DOJ are out to get Trump or a jury might actually believe them!
Why is McCabe being prosecuted & Comey is not? Because McCabe was part of the coup & Comey was the one who was not!
Why was McCabe lying to Comey? To hide the coup & corruption of the Clinton Foundation case while keeping Comey available as a scapegoat!
It is disgraceful, unless you are a completely partisan hack...
