I am very impressed with the enthusiastic participation of citizens in the various events organised under #SwachhataHiSeva to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
After the events at India Gate, I headed straight to Noida stadium to participate in yet another event organised by Noida Authority. The India Plog Run at 100 points in Noida witnessed participation from students, residents, industries, business & NGOs of the area in big numbers.
Eco melody songs & nukkad nataks were performed by children to spread the message of #MakingCitiesPlasticFree. Over 1500 students formed a human chain with message to reduce, reuse & recycle and say NO to plastics.
We administered the #Swachhata & No Single Use Plastics oaths to all participants at the event & flagged off 35 garbage pickup trucks that would help door-to-door collection & proper disposal of garbage everyday.
It was my pleasure to felicitate the cleaning staff & other stakeholders at #SwachhataHiSeva event for the immense hard work they out in to keep Noida & nearby areas clean. I am happy that citizens of Noida turned up in huge numbers & paid a befitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
