Questions for the Republicans -
A Thread:

Somebody ought to ask Devin Nunes (R-CA) why the Intel committee he chaired for 2 years never bothered to open an investigation into Biden and Burisma.

1/

If it's such a pressing issue you'd think they'd have raised it before Biden announced his candidacy.

What about Hal Rogers (R-KY)? He chaired the House subcommittee on State, Foreign Relations and Related Programs while they funded Ukriane in 2017 and 2018 without delay.

2/

Corruption wasn't an issue then I guess?

We give Israel about $4 billion per year. 10x what was withheld from Ukraine because of "potential corruption." Israel's Prime Minister was recently indicted for... uh... bribery. And corruption.

3/

Has anyone checked with Trump or Mulvaney about why that aid wasn't delayed? What steps have we required of Israel to receive their funding?

4/

And what about the insufficient funding from other allies to Ukraine that was cited as (another) reason for the delay? How much more was pledged by our European partners between the delay and the release of funds to Ukraine in September? Roughly $0?

5/

Which congressional committee worked on increasing those funds from allies? None of them? Where's the testimony from the ambassadors that held those meeting to drag more cash out of EU nations?

6/

Where's the classic Trump sharpie marker treaty signing ceremony and associated self-congratulatory tweetstorm for renegotiating those deals?

7/

The rationale that Republicans are providing as an alternate narrative is garbage. You'd have to possess zero critical thinking skills to accept any of their excuses as plausible.

END/
