Okay Ontario Liberals (and concerned observers) the Windsor debate (3rd of 7) is about to start. Got my keyboard warmed up and ready to call out crap if I hear it, or give kudos where deserved. You can stream it live, at this link. #onpoli #olpldr

So far not hearing much from leadership candidates I haven't heard before. But then I'm a junkie and I've been following this a lot. Michael @coteau putting the screws to Ford's government about inaction on Highway 3 is new. Desperately important local issue. #olpldr
I agree with @LiberalBrenda that packaging practical education with more liberal arts based education is important. Though the fact remains - the education that leads to jobs isn't always the education that parents and students aspire to. #olpldr
I love it when @coteau talks about where he comes from, and the odds he beat to get to where he is now. There are good ideas from all candidates. But when it comes from real personal experience it's much stronger. He gets it. #olpldr
And @LiberalBrenda nailed it again, also @KateMarieGraham. I am interested in universal basic income, which is @AlvinTedjo's tentpole issue. I agree we should finish the pilot and make decisions on evidence. Alvin would go straight to implementation. But a huge issue. #olpldr
Not surprisingly, @AlvinTedjo is persuasive and passionate on universal basic income. Mainly I agree. Still, I dislike logic that runs "we don't need to study this, we just know." When conservatives pull that, I can't support it. We shouldn't do the same for our issues. #olpldr
This is always one of @coteau's strongest arguments. Folks in Windsor may not know him as well. But the people in his riding love him. He won in 2018 when it was damn near impossible for any Liberal. There are many reasons why. #olpldr
I get why @StevenDelDuca is doing it, but I think he's name-dropped and thanked specific party insiders in attendance more than all other candidates combined. I'd rather hear his plans than have him flatter his old friends. #olpldr
As a lawyer myself, I so relate to @LiberalBrenda. Her colleagues think she's nuts for doing this. Mine consider my own involvement abnormal. Instead of billing hours, I'm watching a debate online. And she's running to take a massive pay cut. Let's respect that. #olpldr
