First volley is between 2 old men defending their past judgment. One barely more coherent than the other.
Klobuchar & Buttigieg at least speak about their qualifications to lead in the future. Warren speaks eloquently on her Armed Services exp. More of this, please. #DemDebate

Buttigieg humanizes the experience of troops deploying. This is so, so important to have in a presidential debate. #DemDebate
Kudos to Warren for saying we shouldn't be asking troops to sacrifice for missions that can't be solved militarily. #DemDebate

Tom Steyer demonstrates nothing other than that he's a wildly wealthy man who watches the news and has opinions. Any airtime given to him is theft. #DemDebate
Gotta say those foreign policy q's went fast. And were mostly like, "should we unilaterally do insane things" or "will you let Iran nuke us" yes or no q's that gave a pass to the less coherent on the stage. #DemDebate
Also why no q's or a's actually mentioning a ballistic missile attack on a US-populated base? Why no more than 30 mins on commander-in-chief duties? Seems like previous debates have gone 120 mins into healthcare, etc. #DemDebate

This is a great thread on women candidates outperforming their competition. And yes, I hear all the time from people saying that a woman cannot win this presidential race. Bernie needs a long vacation.
That was fresh air. Warren and Klobuchar owned the stage, which was long overdue. Too many of these debates have been Bernie & Biden arguing & winking incoherently at each other. So glad these women could shine. Hoping to see more in #DemDebate

@VoteRunLead I like the Iowa-specific q's - I hope we see more of this in #DemDebates. But someone should at least mention the horror our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico are living through right now & what kind of disaster resources are needed on a continuous basis across the country.
