What does the Facebook page of "Rambhakt Gopal" who just shot #CAA_NRCProtests protesters tell us?

A #thread that shows:

-- how the "Goli Maaron Saalon Ko" call by a BJP minister and candidate works in inciting violence

-- what he and his supporters want

How do we know this is the same "Rambhakt Gopal"? He did a Facebook live before he went to shoot the protesters. His facebook page is full of images from Jamia.

He also said this #thread

He is also keen to end the #ShaheenBaghProtests.

The fact that he went to Jamia is a deliberate decision. Will explain that in subsequent tweets.

See the comments on his post when he talks about going to taking action he is actively encouraged by hundreds.

One says "...Goli Maaron Salo Ko...Jai Modi"

Another says "@asadowaisi Ko Goli Maro..."

Republic TV, Zee TV and others who have been pushing the "Tukde Tukde" narrative, is also a major theme among his followers.

That explains why the union Home Minister also uses it.

(But as @SaketGokhale's RTI has shown, MHA has no record of such a "gang". )

Two hours ago he even posted that this will be his "final journey". He wants that for his final journey he should be clothed in "saffron" while people shout "Jai Shri Ram"

However, despite inciting violence -- for which there is clear evidence now -- all the @ECISVEEP has been able to do is *only* take off BJP Minister Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma's role as "star campaigner". They are completely free to campaign for Delhi elections

Here is a sample list of the pages that "Rambhakt Gopal" likes to follow

There are real consequences of the current political polarisation. Today it is Jamia. Tomorrow it will be other places facing similar consequences.

Watch how helplessly Delhi Police watch while a gun-toting man openly threatens and shoots at a protester.

The Delhi Police reports to the union Home Minister. If he can't keep the national capital of India, how will he keep the rest of India safe, is a legitimate question to ask.

When election campaigning is more important than securing India, there will be consequences

People now find a stand up comedian "heckling" a TV anchor more dangerous than a pistol-wielding terrorist. That's the promise of #NewIndia
