In November last year, several groups tried to block Town 2.0 @WhatsUpAtTown from opening inside of the former church on North Capitol Street.
However, the arguments did not hold up with DC’s Alcohol Beverage Control Board. The club’s license has been approved @wusa9 #GetUpDC
The official order granting Town 2.0’s license to open is 13 pages long, but here is the part that grants the club its license and outlines the conditions the owners must follow. #receipts @wusa9 @WhatsUpAtTown #GetUpDC
There are a few things that can happen from here:
Opponents can challenge the ABC Board’s decision, but it must be done within 10 days.
There are also some additional steps on the licensing side in order for the license app to move from approval to issuance. @wusa9 #GetUpDC
