We're LIVE with Dessalen Wood in our FREE #virtualevent about how to thrive when forced to become #suddenlyremote. Join us! bit.ly/te-remote #bringpeopletogether

Time is money. What is the ROI on all the meetings that you are attending? Imagine you had to BUDGET for all your meeting time? Be conscious about the WHY of each meeting. #suddenlyremote

What are people REALLY doing during your virtual meeting? Multi-tasking. You are competing against this ⬇️

Keep your team engaged. #Crowdsourcing the agenda helps you to keep your team involved, interested and productive. This helps the team get the most out of their time together. #suddenlyremote

Here's an example of how Dessalen has tapped into the wisdom of her team to build an agenda that works for everyone. #crowdsourcing #bringpeopletogether #TeVirtualEvents #suddenlyremote

Join our exchange! Here is the question - "What are the biggest fears and concerns as the world moves away from in-person to #virtualmeetings?" Join here: tejoin.com #suddenlyremote

Here are the thoughts that are coming in [confidentially] from multiple different locations in North America. We are seeing the connections happen in REAL-TIME. #suddenlyremote #remoteworking

We are moving away from the older styler of "sit and get" the information at events, meetings, and conferences. Traditional meetings of shaming people for not paying attention, it doesn't need to be this way. Let go of past paradigms. #suddenlyremote

Show of hands✋- ENGAGING people with the tools you have instead of SHAMING them for not paying attention. #suddenlyremote #remoteworking

Turn your cameras on 🎦. Keep your camera on to stay engaged and present. This particular meeting has engaged participants from multiple areas across North America. These are typical meetings that we have on a regular basis. #remoteworking

Do you NEED to be in this meeting? What is your role in the meeting? If you are feeling like you don't need to be there, maybe you don't! #remoteworking #suddenlyremote

When people know their roles in the meeting, everyone can get more out of the experience. WHY are you attending? Are you running the meeting? Are you there to absorb information? Does someone need you to be there for consultation? #suddenlyremote #remoteworking

Find a way to immerse attendees in the topic to have them be engaged. How do we do this remotely? What do you want them to DO because of the meeting? What do you want them to FEEL? How much do they need to KNOW? #suddenlyremote #remoteworking

Avoid the complacency trap of traditional meetings! They are not valuable to everyone. Participants need to fee INVOLVED in the agenda. They need to understand their role and they need to feel emotion and CONNECTION to stay engaged. #suddenlyremote #remoteworking

Get creative! Share your favorite @netflix shows. Take the time to chat about your weekend before the meeting begins. Turn your computers around and share what your #homeoffice looks like. Keep your team engaged in different ways to help them feel empowered and involved.

Q&A time: "How do you engage those without webcams" - Get a webcam 😂 It's a worthy expense especially during a time like this. Make it a priority there is high value to the cost of it. #suddenlyremote #remoteworking

"Definitely need to crowdsource what everyone at the meeting thinks is most important" YES! It's very exciting to see your own thought rise to the top and you're much more likely to stay engaged and involved. #remoteworking #suddenlyremote

"How do you manage the CHAT?" The chatbox can be distracting but it's interaction WITHIN the meeting and helping to keep people engaged in the meeting instead of multi-tasking. Embrace it. Add relevant links to the chat, share insights, discuss the topics that show up in the chat

That's a wrap! Thank you to all who attended our #SuddenlyRemote virtual event today! Stay tuned for the full replay to watch later if you missed it. Go get yourself a webcam if you don't have one already 🚀 #remoteworking
