Even in the face of a national emergency, it is critical for @DeptVetAffairs to be prepared to carry out its first mission and serve our veterans.
To make sure the Department is prepared to do so, this is what the Committee is asking ⤵️
The Committee is looking for daily updates on:
1⃣ No. of test kits available to VHA
2⃣ No. of veterans tested internally & outside VA
3⃣ No. of employees tested
4⃣ Status of all test results
5⃣ Data on testing time
6⃣ Criteria for testing veterans & employees
On a weekly basis, the Committee wants to know:
1⃣ No. of acute care or ICU beds
2⃣ No. of ventilators & percentage in use
3⃣ Personal Protective Equipment supply levels
4⃣ No. of negative pressure beds
5⃣ Pharmaceutical supply levels
6⃣ Current staffing levels
7⃣ Current guidance given to VA employees and contractors who feel they may have been exposed, have symptoms, or are responsible for a child or family member who must remain home as a result of COVID-l9
