Apart from a modest increase in testing capacity, I can’t see that anything is different on the ground as far as our #COVID19 response, so we appear to have bought a little time statewide but are now giving it back to the virus.
Expect confirmed cases/fatalities to increase.
If the order ends, I hope people are serious about #PhysicalDistancing, #Mask4All, and I hope @GovBillLee continues to rapidly accelerate Tennessee’s testing and tracing capacity.
Our curve is about to unflatten.
I keep coming back to this principle: we can revive an economy; we cannot revive corpses.
Having lived through extremely challenging financial circumstances, I’m glad to have had my health and the chance to rebuild my finances.
Worth revisiting this @WHO guidance about when restrictions imposed as part of the #COVID19 response could reasonably be lifted.
I hope @GovBillLee and the task force explain how we’re faring with regard to these criteria.
Finally, if we made the decision about our statewide stay home order on the basis of @myTDOT data on travel patterns, we need to be very clear about what has changed in the data we’re reviewing and how we’ll know whether to tighten again if not on the basis of economic activity.
