The Coronavirus Immigrant Families Protection Act is what a sane Congress would pass during this pandemic, to protect everyone in the United States.
Here's what's in this bill from @maziehirono @KamalaHarris @RepJudyChu @RepRaulGrijalva @RepLouCorrea et al...

For the duration of the #COVID19 emergency, the executive branch would have to suspend all 3 #PublicCharge rules:
*DHS & State Dept rules: in effect now, deterring many many people from getting tests & treatment.
*DOJ draft rule: still looming & would make matters worse.
3/
More elements that anyone with an ounce of self-preservationism should support:
*Let's not threaten to deport people seeking healthcare or fleeing domestic violence
*Let's make sure everyone has #COVID19 testing, treatment & vaccines covered
*Let's do multilingual outreach
4/
And for good measure, let's take the weight of expiring visas & work permits off the shoulders of doctors, nurses, & everyone else who shouldn't have to worry about this during a national emergency.
(This bill would do that.)

Finally, the bill would stop blocking emergency relief to taxpayers who don't have an SSN...and to US citizens who have an SSN but are married to someone who doesn't.
That's right: The #CARESAct penalizes US citizens for marrying someone undocumented.

Here's the full text of the Coronavirus Immigrant Families Protection Act.
I would have called it the "How About Let's Put Self-Preservation Above Xenophobia Act" (HALPSPAXA) but obviously I'm not a branding expert.
