➡️ The border is closed & asylum-seekers deported without due process.
➡️ USCIS isn't taking applications due to #COVID19
So why an #ImmigrationBan?
Because when you're a xenophobic President running fo re-election formalizing it serves as a way to rile up your base.
Immigrants are NOT competition.
Immigrants are NOT job-stealers.
Immigrants are NOT responsible for the crisis we are in.
Let’s be clear, the idea that immigrants are a threat to jobs & wages and that they will overburden the healthcare system unless they have a useful skill to exploit is ludicrous.
Immigrant workers should not be blamed for the inaction of this Administration.
There are almost 45k dead so far because of #COVID19 in the U.S.
Using this pandemic to enact an anti-immigrant & xenophobic agenda is an unjustifiable insult to the American people & we will not stand for it. #DontLookAway
