Some of the detainees from #LebanonProtests were electrocuted.
The detainees were transferred from the Military Intelligence branch to the Military Police in Sidon - the Beirut Bar Association headed by Melhem Khalaf was following up on the cases of detainees which included 1 minor. #Lebanon #LebanonProtests
The majority of the detainees were not allowed to make any calls/contact anyone, since they were arrested, no parents no lawyers.
The 'lawyers committee' intervened and made sure the detainees get access to their needed contacts.

Some of the detainees confirmed that they were subjected to torture and beating by the Intelligence Branch through various means, especially through 'electrocution'.

A number of the released protestors had to be hospitalized for treatment upon release.
(These protestors were arrested amid the attacks launched by locals on the Saida branch of the central which included throwing Molotov cocktails at the building).
According to the 'Lawyers' committee' at least one detainee is still being held by the intelligence services in Sidon.
"The Committee calls for his immediate release, the end of all acts of torture, and to respect all rights of detainees."
