Sad how different political parties trade barbs at each other depending on which of them has abused women. Inconsistent, hypocritical & partisan based values. This is why many are willing to flout constitutions when they lust for power. Values are incidental rather than timeless.
Then there's this tendency to attack one gender because a member of their gender has been abused. Human rights abuses are what they are. They do not have to be condemned any more or less because one is a mother, sister or female minister. Selective rage turns to cyber bullying.
On one day, you ask SADC to stay out of our politics because you are excited a military coup might bring you in to government as a partner & on the next you lament SADC's lack of response because same military regime you supported has shown its real face for the umpteenth time.
This is no way to build a future society with this selective memory, selective rage, selective constitution, & targeted attacks. We are a broken society because politicians play fast & loose with the masses use them as canon fodder for short term gain & we are the poorer for it.
Worse, the supporters tied to party colours, sometimes bewildered by factional colours, then aid & abet these shenanigans by chorusing their approval or defence of unconstitutional behaviour. Stop, think & evaluate your leaders by their actions in word & deed.
Or continue on this treadmill of traditional Zimbabwean politics. All dressed up and nowhere to go. #FixTheFoundation #RehabilitateZimbabwe
