There are many #Juneteenth celebrations happening today throughout the country and I celebrate with the African American community regarding the end of the dehumanizing practice of chattel enslavement in the southern states on June 19, 1865.
I lament that it took another half a year for USA to ratify the 13th Amendment and end the practice of chattel enslavement completely in the northern states.
I weep that the Thirteenth Amendment doesn't actually abolish slavery but merely redefines and codifies it under the jurisdiction of the criminal justice system...
...thus fulfilling Abraham Lincoln's goal of institutionalizing white supremacy...
...and Constitutionally protecting slavery.
And I commit that as President of the United States I will work to completely abolish slavery and remove the protection for it from our Constitution.
My name is Mark Charles, I am a dual citizen of the United States and the Navajo nation and I am running as an independent candidate for POTUS. My vision is to build a nation where We the People truly means #AllThePeople.

I also have a plan for my first 100 days in office to propose edits the Constitution that remove the racist, sexist and white supremacist language that is littered throughout it.
