It’s by far the quietest I’ve seen #CHOP on a weekday amid conflicting reports that this protest is over. I just spoke with one of the “leaders” who says he and others, like that barricade reads, won’t leave “until their demands are met.” We’ll have more at 5 #KOMONews

Meeting for a “People’s Assembly,” there still seems to be some division among those who remain at #CHOP. One “leader” says the group “must unite as one” and that they’re now pushing for “legislative laws,” will continue to occupy East Precinct #KOMONews

The woman speaking recommends those staying in Cal Anderson relocate closer to the East Precinct for their own safety. “This is the first time in history that we have something they actually want.” That statement is met with applause #KOMONews

“On Tuesday, we will be marching to an undisclosed location.” She says that will happen at 2pm. Another woman on her own bullhorn is questioning why “the format” of this assembly is changing, saying people aren’t being allowed to question some of what’s being pushed #KOMONews

Aside from the lack of even onlookers tonight, the medic tent that had been set up at Rancho Bravo (10/E Pine) is now gone. Someone with a bullhorn is trying to rally people for a march to the West Precinct, saying “this is a protest not a party!” #KOMONews
