Are Humans Smarter than Plants? #HistoryMatters #historyinvestigator #environment #ClimateAction
Humans have the brains to learn, talk, feel, and think. We use all of our abilities in different ways. We are also proud of what we can do. We say our brains are like a supercomputer but much better. We also say that no other organism can be better than us. (1/6)
However, just because other species don't eat like us or look like us, it does not mean that they are not smart.
All around us, there are species that can do spectacular things, which we cannot do. (2/6)
For example, a dog in Japan named Hachiko found out that his master had a heart attack. For us to find out a heart attack, we need to give the patient medical tests. Those tests will give us results only next day. These results could be wrong also. But Hachiko was smarter(3/6)
One of the really smart species is plants. We think plants cannot do anything because they just stand there without doing anything that we can see. But that is not true. Plants are the only organism that can make food out of nothing. (4/6)
In New Zealand, there is a 500-year-old tree stump. This stump did not have any leaves. Since leaves are the kitchen for plants, without leaves, this stump could not make any food. Still, this stump survived because the other plants around it were feeding it. (5/6)
This proves that just because you don't look like humans, does not mean that you are not smarter than humans. (6/6)
