Today, I have had loads of people getting in touch to say “Oh now I get what you’ve been on about.”

The sight of crowds on the streets of #Soho or cramming into pubs on #SuperSaturday, has made people realise that the govt strategy is STILL #HerdImmunity (also called mitigation)

I've also been asked more questions:

"But why would they knowingly do it?"

"What's their goal?"

"What happens when we follow the money?"

"What can we do to stop this"

@Under_Covid - a new investigative & campaigning platform - has got some answers 👇

What is #HerdImmunity?

It is an outcome NOT a strategy

Virtually every virologist or epidemiologist will tell you this

To slow down the spread = mitigation = going for herd immunity

To stop the spread = suppression = not going for herd immunity

Check out #HerdImmunityScandal

All ways of dealing with #COVID come with a cost

Lockdowns damage the economy & leave people vulnerable to future waves of #COVID19

Whichever strategy chosen is a political decision as much as a scientific one

BUT #HerdImmunity is NOT a viable strategy.

Spain’s study indicates just 5% of its population has developed #coronavirus antibodies.

"In light of these findings, any proposed approach to achieve #HerdImmunity through natural infection is not only highly unethical, but also unachievable” @TheLancet
