On Saturday, a right wing group had planned to hold a "Retake the CHAZ" event.

The autonomous zone in Seattle aka the "#CHAZ" was dismantled earlier this week, but a handful of right-wingers went anyway, and were chased by antifa.

Filmed for @N2Sreports by Neil Radimaker

Heavy had an article with background on the event. While vastly fewer showed up, the Facebook event had thousands "going" and 20,000+ saying they were "interested."

Facebook took down the event last week and removed some organizers.

Proud Boys' Alan Swinney maced protesters while being chased away. There's closer and clearer videos of this online, but here's what my contributor saw during the incident.

Swinney later acknowledged macing protesters on social media.

One activist who had been maced went to report it to the police.

"Are you alright?" they asked him. "No," he said.

He showed them something (I believe the mace canister, hard to tell) and police reacted by arresting him.

A friend of his went to help him, and was also arrested.

Antifascist activists continued to follow the right-wingers for a reported 14 blocks before they made it to their cars.

At least one truck's tires had been slashed, so police continued to stand by as they figured out what to do.

Ultimately, the right-winger with slashed tires drove away anyway.

Ultimately the stated goal of right-wingers "taking the CHAZ" wasn't even remotely close to accomplished; the police already have control of the area, and the right didn't touch it.

Here's the full 4K @N2Sreports footage of what happened when right-wingers attempted a "retake the #CHAZ" event on Saturday (despite the CHAZ already being dismantled) and being chased away by antifa.

As always, all footage available for license.
