#TodaysBeauty is a J pod orca (pretty sure it's a female, ID coming, hopefully) breaching next to Lime Kiln Lighthouse today. First time we've seen these folks since April.

Here's the sequence preceding this shot.

Plus, of course, the coup de grace.

The consensus among my dorca friends is that this is probably J-44 Moby.

Moby, FWIW, is a 10-year-old male who has not yet "sprouted," thus the confusion over its sex.

OTOH, J-42 Echo (a female) is the other prime candidate.
