This is NOT LEGIT. Using the death of a celebrity to spread misinformation is really harmful to their fans and others who love them! Here's a a thread on how we fact-checked this #conspiracy theory:

Despite there being no text in the tweet, the attached image attempts to link Naya’s death to the recent #Wayfair conspiracy, which we debunked here as well. .

The photo looked like it might’ve been manipulated, as the price and size of the mat don’t line up with those around it. 🤔

We wanted to verify whether @Wayfair even sells the mat in the picture, So we went straight to the source -- their website. I searched the brand’s doormats and found it listed here. The brand name is actually “Kenai River” not Rivera.

Then I used the Wayback Machine, which archives webpages over time, to see if the price had been altered before I viewed it. A snapshot from July 11th listed the price as the same, $29.99, unlike the original tweet claimed.

So this is definitely ❌ NOT LEGIT ❌. This photo was altered to change the price, brand name, and size dimensions to mislead people into believing Naya Rivera’s unfortunate death was part of a conspiracy.
