I've had this thought for a long time... having been laid up for ≥ 8 weeks, being a hay-fever/dust/cat allergy sufferer the symptoms felt familiar...
... but I'm know scientist, so I thought I was mad.
Turns out, not necessarily.
A quick (unscientific) Google and the idea that viral vectors can interoperate with our allergic response isn't a mad idea:
2002 - erj.ersjournals.com/content/19/2/3…
So for those poor children presenting Kawasaki like symptoms, or for those who suffer (and succumb to) a cytokine storm ... as the presumed consequence of a #COVID19/#coronavirus infection ...
... could it be an allergic reaction?
Would totally explain my symptoms and the path of the disease for me personally... even the difference with my siblings (3x of us we think got it in 🇫🇷 together, the 2x hay-fever/cat-allergy sufferers were ill, the third was not much)
... as well as the seeming randomness of those who get a fever, those who get nothing and those who have some horrible, chronic reaction (skin, breathing, fatigue, headaches, sinus issues etc)...
... random arthritic/inflamed knuckle in my case!?
Is this something everyone's been discussing and I've missed...?
... are some people just allergic to #coronavirus ??...
... if so - is anyone testing [cheap, generic] things like cetirizine hydrochloride in the fight against #COVID19 ???....
