Day 145 and 146 - #COVID19 in Iran
A brief update
Picking up from two days ago:
Who am I and why I do this:
My "methods" [there is a method in the madness]:
ICYMI - I have compiled a separate thread on #COVID19 reinfection which I will keep updating with news as they come. Probably as #IMPORTANT as my first thread on day 1.
[Current Outlook]
The 2nd wave is brutally raging on in the country. Official numbers keep breaking daily deaths records and 25 province out of 31 are in red or warning status. We finally have a good news in Bushehr, after Khuzestan, that the situation is stabilising.
A recording of a hospital meeting in Isfahan (4M) has leaked where the hospital director is talking about how in ICU they had to decide whom to save: choosing younger patients - as once reporter in Spain.
Isfahan is Iran's 2nd biggest city.
The situation in Iran's 3rd biggest city, Mashhad (3.6M), is going from bad to worse - cases/deaths keep rising.
Tehran (9M), is Iran's biggest city where 767 new patients admitted over the last 24 hours. This number used to less than 200 just two months ago and ~250 a month ago.
Two MPs and Tabriz's Friday Prayer Imam (highest religious official in a city) are down with COVID19 - Tabriz (1.6M) is Iran's 5th biggest city, after Shiraz (1.6M).
Situation in Ardabil province (1.3M) is now worse than the 1st wave and it has been described as critical.
Just in the province of Mazandaran (3M) 1000 from the medical staff have contracted #COVID19.
It is no surprise that we keep losing our medical staff.
Dr. Abdolali Kharazmi, a senior lecturer and Paediatrician in Mashhad has died of #COVID19.
Behnam Mardani, Health Care Assistant [in Khuzestan]
Saeid Abbasi, Operating Theatre technician in Dezful, Khuzestan
Akram Khoshnoodifar, nurse in Sabzevar, Razavi Khorasan
Mahin Khosravi Tabar, hospital admission staff in Andimeshk, Khuzestan
Dr. Majid Majidian Rad, GP and head of a clinic in Alborz province
Dr. Seyyed Hossein Reza Azizi Zavieh, from Ardabil, died due to #COVID19 reinfection (confirmed case) in Tehran
