LISTEN TO THIS. It is a statement for all men to hear and understand. @AOC names @RepTedYoho's abuse toward her, quite rightly, as the daily abuse women are *expected* to tolerate in our broken culture. Yoho's behavior disgusts me. When will all men step up and finally end this?

@RepTedYoho also intended to unnerve and silence Representative Ocasio-Cortez. This is the GOP's hard line bullies coming for any who speak out. Rest assured, they are coming for all of us soon. May we show the same level of courage, power, and dignity as @AOC in that moment.

While @RepTedYoho may be hiding behind the fact that he has a wife and daughters, it is not possible for a man to show this level of rage *publicly* against @AOC and not have done so many times before in private against women with far less power. He needs to seek treatment.

@RepTedYoho's rage against @AOC isn't based simply on her policy positions. She is a lightning rod because she is a women of color. The ugly gendered rage this panic stricken white man displayed is the product of his anger toward women who won't be quiet when he tells them to.

Men don't have to work hard to imagine what it's like to have @RepTedYoho in our face. We have all lived with the Yoho's of the world. They are the alpha bullies who define and enforce our broken culture of masculinity. We all know this guy. His kind seek to silence all of us.

Men accept @RepTedYoho's kind of bullying as just part of life. Why do we do this? How much longer does he get to define masculinity for us all, and for the next generation of boys? How much longer does @RepTedYoho's kind get to attack our sisters and daughters with impunity?

No. No more @RepTedYoho. He's not a decent man and he doesn't get a pass on his shitty version of manhood. Thank you @AOC for showing us how it looks to effectively challenge men like him. Your clarity is inspiring. Now, all men need to start showing up and do the same. #TimesUp
