I dint even bother to interview him.I got a cup of coffee and told him "u are hired" now go home and dress some dry clothes.
It was a job in sales , he already had a great resume and if he showed so much heart,I wanted him in my team. He ended up being my top performer.
Life happens.Maybe the candidate dint look the neatest orwasnt themost confident but that doesnot mean that he is not qualified for the job.
If u want the best talent stop looking for perfection. It does not exist.focus on what value a person can bring. Look for passion and potential .Who took a chance on you??? Maybe it's a Tim yu take a chance on someone.
