🚨 50 Actionable #SEO tips [THREAD]

Learn how to grow your organic traffic 📈

For the past 50 days, I have been posting daily SEO tips. I am now combining them all into one thread 👇

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #1

If you're writing content about sinks - don't hire "freelance writer" - hire a plumber, he will have a LOT better knowledge and content to provide. Then have an editor to "fix" the writing style and you are ahead of 90% of your competition.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #2

"learn by doing" has been the best approach when it comes to SEO.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #3

People are usually neglecting design in SEO - some only think it's all "technical" but it cannot be further from the truth.

👉 The “people” factor - how your visitor feels and reacts to your website is just as important.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #4

People are still building websites for desktops.

Mobile is king now, start with mobile-first AND then optimize for desktop.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #5

How to use @ahrefs to find easy to rank content ideas:

1. Type broad keyword into a keyword explorer
2. Press on "questions"
3. Set low difficulty (up to 10)
4. Set search volume for 500+

Example in the image below 👇

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #6

Use Google Tag Manager and create events to track any outbound links from your website.

You can see on what page people clicked and which link.

If you are NOT a designer but need a quick and easy way to create graphics - Canva is your friend 🙌

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #11

Use @imagify (WordPress plugin) to optimize your images (taking less space) and make your site load faster. It's probably the quickest and most hands-off way compared to doing it manually.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #12

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #19

The monthly volume for one keyword does not show the full potential.

Remember, landing pages do not rank for one keyword, they can rank for several thousand keywords!

If you find a keyword with low search volume, do not discard it right away.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #20

NEVER underestimate introductions!

They are the first thing that the user sees when he starts reading the content 📖

✅ Provide value up-front
✅ Add a hook to your content
✅ ALWAYS write introductions last

Don't be afraid to spend time here.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #21

Use Google Lighthouse extension to quickly see fixes and mistakes of your site in:

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #22

Use @GoogleAlerts to monitor mentions of your name, your brand, your website, or any other topic.

This is especially useful if they mentioned you, but did not add a link to your website. Easy way to score a link by emailing them and asking.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #23

Use @ahrefs to find Top Writers in your niche. These will be ranked by cumulative organic traffic their articles bring.

Easy way to get a list of potential people to outreach or monitor what type of content ranks well.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #24

1. Get mentioned from other authority sites

2. Get links from a website that Google already trusts and see as an authority

3. Get positive reviews online

4. Expand your "authors bio" and "about" pages - link to authority sources

Don't know how to structure your content?

Don't worry, @Wikipedia has done that for you.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #29

Have you checked your keywords CTR (click-through-rate)?

You can find that on Search Console.

If you see a low CTR rate for some keywords, it's an opportunity to re-write meta title and description to boost your organic traffic.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #30

If you have a very well ranked content, check to see if Google displays any videos along with the search results.

If yes, it's an opportunity to create a video publish it on Youtube and then add to your content as well.

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #31

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #32

Always include your social accounts in the signature, especially when building links.

People want to talk to real people and not bots - show them you are a real person 🙂

💡SEO Tip of the Day - #33

Always include the main keyword in your URL and make it short and easy to understand.

✅ Good: example.com/main-keyword

Consider these:
