UPDATE: Gia Fuda found alive after 8 days. We’re heading to the area where she was located now #KOMONews

“It’s a miracle. God blessed this family,” says Jeff, a family friend. He tells us he doesn’t know much more about Gia’s condition other than she survived by eating berries. He and 50 others spent the entire last week searching for, covering hundreds of miles #KOMONews

.@kingcosoPIO says this was actually the 9th day Gia had been missing and is with her parents, in stable condition being taken to a hospital. At 2:45pm today, a deputy and SAR volunteers found a notebook of hers was found. Clothing was found at a nearby creek #KOMONews

She was then found shortly after that. “This is a remarkable ending.” As for how she went missing or ended up in the woods, that’s still being sorted out. From where her car was found to where she was found, it’s about 3 or 4 miles #KOMONews

At this point, it does NOT appear as though she was kidnapped. The thought at this point is once her car ran out of gas, she started walking and then went to the woods. “We didn’t have many more days,” says that teams would’ve looked for one or two more days #KOMONews
