.@DrBonnieHenry re: the 'layers of protection' that's supposed to make masks unnecessary in #bced classrooms, @Surrey_Schools teachers in the Fraser South Health Region see many holes in those layers. Please advise on how to fix them. 1/
Fraser South has the fastest increases in Covid cases...
We have many schools at 150% capacity. Some at 200% capacity. How will Admin measures work?
Without physical barriers in small overcrowded classrooms and not enough custodians, will environmental measures be effective?
It would take 2 hours a day for the 12 - 20 times students in elementary schools will need to wash their hands. Many parents often send sick students to school because they have to go to work. Physical distancing is impossible in a 75 sq metre room filled with 32 people.
With all the holes in all the other 'layers of protection' please explain to us why masks will be optional? #bced #bcpoli #AskTeachers #WeWorkInSchools #SafeSeptemberBC
