All parents in Ontario are struggling with this choice. It feels like we’re working with very little information, and it’s changing all the time. /2
Take Toronto. Parents only got word a few days ago that the government would invest in HVAC. And then the TDSB had it’s plan for elementary and secondary schools turned down by the government. /3
It’s the same story all over the province. Not once has the government given clarity or proper funding. We need more time because Doug Ford took a bad situation and made it worse. /4
Doug Ford isn’t responsible for the pandemic - but he is directly responsible for the chaos in our school system. /5
Everybody needs more time. Boards need more time to put plans together. And parents need time to review approved plans so they can make the best decision for their family. /End
